Clinging Ebony Vine

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 93 years. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of long and flexible, curved stems covered in knobbly, black bark, and the wood inside is black with white speckles.

The branches trail down across the ground that and are covered with sparse amounts of tiny, pleated, leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are peach and hazel, durable and leathery.

It produces dozens of small, green flowers with stiff, pointed petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They detach easily and have an overpowering scent that smells like fruity. In early autumn it forms tinysilver, winged seeds that float and land far away.
