Caramelvine

This massive shrub grows up to 15 feet (4.6 meters) tall and lives for around 32 years. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of branched, straight stems covered in delicate, smooth, brown-green bark, and the wood inside is burgundy.

The branches trail down across the ground with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with copious amounts of miniature, very narrow and elongated, leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are cream on the sides and orange at the center, delicate and smooth.

In late spring it produces a handful of tiny, aquamarine blossoms with crescent-shaped shaped petals. They are very delicate and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like cinnamon.

In early autumn cuboid fruits ripen. The hairy green skin is delicate and inedible, and the soft cream flesh is sweet and very juicy. The caramel seeds are small and are located in the centre of the fruit.
