Bronze

This small caudiciform grows up to 8 feet (2.4 meters) tall. The narrow stem is bronze or olive, and is covered in handfuls of fine, dull yellow, hair-like spines. It has a curved, thick, bronze trunk atop a thick web of silky, exposed roots. The branches are slender and burgundy and are short and thin.

The toothed-edged, wispy leaves are found in pink, gentle red and orange varieties. They are durable, but easily come away when pulled.

It is fast growing, taking 6 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, several flowers with each petal a slightly different shade of beige grow at the top, reappearing after 5 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of handfuls of petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight heart. It has an overpowering scent that smells like skunk spray.

The caudiciform's skin is rock-hard, the silver flesh is slimy, and the ashy blue sap is thin.
