Caramel

This modest-sized leaf succulent grows up to 65 feet (19.8 meters) tall. The thick stem is yellow, and is covered in brittle green spines. The serrated-edged, thick leaves are found in red, lilac and dark grey varieties. Small bunches of them grow from the base in a random bunch. The leaves are resilient, but do not detach easily.

It is fast growing, taking 5 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, several flowers with petals that are either caramel or florescent orange, with a yellow center grow at the top, reappearing after 8 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is shaped like a trumpet with 12 tightly layered, round-tipped petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like lavender.

The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the hazel flesh is soft, and the green sap is thin.
