This lime green moss is commonly found blanketing large areas In heathlands, In rainforests, and In rainy mountain ranges.
It is small, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps and they are exceptionally hardy, and is very sturdy.
When mature, emerald V-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release dozens of spores.

It can survive a long time without water.
The leaves are extremely toxic, and very salty.
