Bluebell

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 134 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of long and flexible, wavy stems covered in knobbly, yellow-brown bark, and the wood inside is pale yellow.

The branches trail down to the ground with dozens of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of huge, very narrow and elongated, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are brilliant blue and blood red, flimsy and rough.

It produces dozens of small, blue flowers with fan-like petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are sturdy and have a faint scent that smells like old books. In mid-summer it forms tinyolive, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.
