This lime green moss is commonly found growing in small clumps On rotten logs, In heathlands, and In rainforests.
It is small, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps and they are slow to spread and grow, and is overwhelmingly delicate.
When mature, emerald oblong capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release hundred of spores.

It can grow in even the most barren lands.
It is almost impossible to grow from cuttings.
