Copperleaf

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This short leaf succulent grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall. The wispy stem is silver, and is covered in handfuls of flexible vivid orange spines. The stocky leaves are generally aquamarine. Sparse amounts of them grow on wide, moss green branches that are short stubs. The leaves are robust, but easily come away when pulled.

It is steady-growing, taking 2 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with beige petals on the lower layer and olive petals decorated with peach dots on the inner layer. The central disk is indigo grows at the top, reappearing after 7 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is largely flat with 15 tightly layered round-tipped petals. It has a powerful scent that smells like cheap aftershave.

The leaf succulent's skin is thick, the copper flesh is leathery, and the bold yellow sap is thin and can kill if consumed.

Offering it in a bouquet is supposed to bring good luck.
