Emerald Crest Moss

This emerald moss is commonly found blanketing giant areas In rainy mountain ranges, and In marshes.
It is short, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is very light.
When mature, emerald crescent-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release millions of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
