Crimson Moss

This red moss is commonly found growing in large clumps In bogs, In damp forests, and In moorlands.
It is average-sized, growing up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is extremely flimsy; it struggles more than most during dry spells.
When mature, emerald spiral capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release dozens of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
