Copperleaf

This average-sized leaf succulent grows up to 69 feet (21.0 meters) tall. The wide stem is copper, and is covered in thick sheets of flexible lime spines. The rounded leaves are white on the sides and cyan at the center. Small amounts of them grow on wide, silver branches that are short stubs. The leaves are frail, but are very difficult to pull away.

It is very slow growing, taking 22 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with petals that are hazel on the underside and caramel on the top, grow at the top, reappearing after 6 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is shaped like a star with 59 raised, round-tipped petals. It has a weak scent that smells like rich perfume.

The leaf succulent's skin is rock-hard, the azure flesh is slimy, and the red sap is thin.
