Crimsonactus

Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This small cactus grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall. The slender, pointed stem is orange and beige, and is covered in copious amounts of rigid blood red spines.

It is quick growing, taking 6 months to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with petals that are lime at the sides and vivid blue at the center grow at the top, reappearing once every 4 years. The flower head is shaped like a heart with 33 raised, narrow petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like coffee.

The cactus's skin is extremely thick, the indigo flesh is soft, and the indigo sap is thin.

It usually houses a colony of beneficial insects.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
Their seeds have hallucinogenic properties.
