Crimson Moss

This pink-red moss is commonly found blanketing small areas In heathlands.
It is huge, growing up to 11 inches (28 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches, and is slightly sturdy; it can easily endure flooding and draughts.
When mature, emerald shield-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release dozens of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
