Crimson Cactus

This giant cactus grows up to 118 feet (36.0 meters) tall. It splits near the top to form 4 perforated stems. Each stem is red, and is covered in lots of rigid slate spines.

It is slow growing, taking 33 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with beige petals and a yellow center grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is shaped like a dish with 53 raised, round-tipped petals. It has a faint scent that smells like paint.

The cactus's skin is thick, the crimson flesh is sticky, and the amber sap is thin.
