Cyan Spike Cactus

This short cactus grows up to 8 feet (2.4 meters) tall. The wide stem is red, and is covered in many rigid cyan spines. The spherical body is yellow-green, and is covered in thick sheets of flexible blood red spines.

It is very fast growing, taking 4 months to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with petals that are turquoise on the underside and grey on the top grow at the top, reappearing once every 5 years. The flower head is shaped like a cup with 10 raised, narrow petals. It has a weak scent that smells like marzipan.

The cactus's skin is thin, the lilac flesh is sticky, and the slate sap is thin.
