Copperleaf

Shrub type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This giant shrub grows up to 11 feet (3.4 meters) tall and lives for around 13 years. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has several long and flexible, twisting stems covered in hard, ridged, brown-green speckled bark, and the wood inside is burgundy.

The branches are short and thin with thousands of twigs that and are covered with thick bunches of huge, broad, flat, leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are copper at the bottom and light purple with purple zig-zags at the top, rigid and waxy.

In early spring it produces large amounts of medium-sized, cream flowers with crescent-shaped shaped petals. They fall easily and have a soft scent that smells like paint.
