Aquamarine Twistvine
Shrub type: Coniferous (Stores water in its stem)This average-sized shrub grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall and lives for around 78 years. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has many narrow, twisting stems covered in very thick, rough, yellow-brown bark, and the wood inside is black.
The branches are short stubs that and are covered with thick bunches of giant, thin, leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are solid aquamarine with turquoise patches, flexible and clammy.
In mid-spring it produces dozens of small, blood red flowers with many layers of petals. They detach easily and have a weak scent that smells like rich perfume.
It grows well in the sun and full shade.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
