Copper-colored

This average-sized shrub grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall and lives for around 42 years. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of narrow, straight stems covered in thin, knobbly, brown-green speckled bark, and the wood inside is copper-coloured.

The branches are short and slender with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with small bunches of giant, thin, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are solid orange with peach edges, delicate and sticky.

In mid-spring it produces lots of tiny, indigo blossoms with broad, flat petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are sturdy and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like ashes.

In mid-autumn small perforated fruits ripen. The fuzzy cream skin is tough and slightly salty, and the very soft violet flesh is salty and sticky. The orange seed is small and is in the centre of the fruit.
