Knobbleaf Shrubby
Shrub type: Coniferous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 18 years. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.
It has numerous knobbly, straight stems covered in hard, wrinkled, dark brown bark, and the wood inside is white with black speckles.
The branches are short, thin and wispy with dozens of twigs that and are covered with copious amounts of huge, thick, leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are dark brown on the edges and brown at the center, flimsy and crispy.
It produces thousands of tiny, hazel flowers with slender, pointed petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They fall easily and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like freshly washed clothes. In late winter it forms giantolive seed pods.
