Beige Moss

This beige moss is commonly found blanketing small areas On rotten logs, and In moorlands.
It is short, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches and can overwhelm an area rapidly, and is slightly hardy; it is very difficult to kill.
When mature, emerald triangular capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release thousands of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
