Burgundy Moss

This burgundy moss is commonly found growing in giant clumps In bogs, On rotten logs, and In moorlands.
It is average-sized, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps, and is very flimsy; it dislikes being stepped on.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release hundred of spores.
