Caramel Succulent

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This average-sized leaf succulent grows up to 52 feet (15.8 meters) tall. The needle-like stem is gray-green, and is covered in lots of rigid olive spines. The lumpy leaves are solid caramel or red, with green lines. Small amounts of them grow on wide, orange-yellow and olive branches that are short, rigid and upright. The leaves are durable, and take some effort to detach.

It is steady-growing, taking 15 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with petals that are generally brown; each flower tends to be a variation of this colour grows at the top, reappearing after 3 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 11 petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like cheap aftershave.

The leaf succulent's skin is very thick, the cream flesh is slimy, and the silver sap is thin.
