Crimson Moss

This pink-red moss is commonly found growing in giant clumps In damp forests.
It is short, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps and they spread and grow quickly, and is overwhelmingly hardy.
When mature, emerald flame-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release millions of spores; it can cause severe allergic reactions.
