Blueleaf Succulent
Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)This modest-sized leaf succulent grows up to 46 feet (14.0 meters) tall. The perforated stem is lime green, and is covered in copious amounts of rigid subtle blue spines. The smooth-edged, spear shaped leaves are slate and orange. Copious amounts of them grow from the base in alternating layers of 2, then 4, then 6, and so on. The leaves are light, and are very difficult to pull away.
It is slow growing, taking 48 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with petals that are generally grey; each flower tends to be a variation of this colour, grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 14 curved petals. It has an overpowering scent that smells like cigarette smoke.
The leaf succulent's skin is extremely thick, the cream flesh is smooth, and the brown sap is thin.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
