Blueberry Tree

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This short fruit tree grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall and lives for up to 30 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 61 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a flexible, angular trunk covered in thin, cracked, brown bark, and inside, the hard wood is pine-coloured.

The abundance of branches are short and thin and are covered with small bunches of miniature, thin leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are azure on the edges and washed-out orange at the center.

In early spring, it produces large amounts of giant, lime blossoms with cylindrical petals. They are very delicate and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like sugar.

In mid-autumn it produces , oval fruit. The rough gold skin is thin and inedible, and the crunchy sky blue flesh is sweet and very juicy. The grey seeds are tiny and are located in the centre of the fruit.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
