Clinging Hazelvine
Flower type: Perennial (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This big flower grows up to 5.3 feet (1.6 meters) tall. Its lime green stem is thin and splits into 3 branching stems at the base, and the large, yellow-green and light brown leaves are very thick with toothed edges. The leaves grow in pairs along the length of the stem.
Several medium-sized flowers grow in drooping bunches like grapes. The flowers are 17 cm (6.7 inches) wide, with solid hazel petals decorated with black lines and a indigo central disk. The flower head is made up of many petals in raised layers. They are hardy.
It has a scent that varies in strength that smells like meat, and it has very little pollen. It is pollinated by the wind, but is also particularly attractive to bees.
