Aquacoffee Shrubby

Shrub type: Deciduous (Stores water in its stem)

This average-sized shrub grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall and lives for around 82 years. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has many long and flexible, straight stems covered in very thick, wrinkled, mahogany-coloured bark, and the wood inside is copper-coloured.

The branches are very long, thin and wispy with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with thick bunches of miniature, circular, leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are either crimson or bold yellow, with brown zig-zags, strong and soft.

It produces handfuls of large, aquamarine flowers with long, narrow petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are very delicate and have a delicate scent that smells like coffee. In mid-summer it forms smallolive, winged seeds that float and land far away.

It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
