Grass type: Annual (Sheds its leaves in winter)This small, lime green grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The very thin stalks grow in extensive patches that are resistant and they overwhelm an area rapidly.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, sky blue tail.
During the late autumn, it produces a fair amount of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with lots of small grains.
It makes a distinctive sound when the wind blows through it.
It is suitable for making strong rope
