Copperleaf Succulent

This modest-sized leaf succulent grows up to 50 feet (15.2 meters) tall. The thin stem is copper or cream, and is covered in handfuls of fine, cream, hair-like spines. The smooth-edged, very narrow and elongated leaves are slate on the sides and gold at the center. Small amounts of them grow from the base in a loosely patterned way. The leaves are strong and flexible, and do not detach easily.

It is fast growing, taking 11 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with solid light brown petals decorated with yellow lines and a red central disk grows at the top, reappearing once every 9 years. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 31 petals. It has a strong scent that smells like varnish.

The leaf succulent's skin is thick, the olive flesh is rough, and the azure sap is thin.
