Aquamarine?

Fruit Tree type: Coniferous (Stores water in its leaves)

This large fruit tree grows up to 24 feet (7.3 meters) tall and lives for up to 40 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 47 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a long and flexible, crooked trunk covered in thin, wrinkled, pine-coloured bark, and inside, the soft wood is dark brown.

The excessive amount of branches are tall, rigid and upright and are covered with large amounts of tiny, very thick leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are either bronze, or aquamarine with dark brown lines.

In early spring, it produces many clusters of medium-sized, bold yellow blossoms with perforated petals. They detach easily and have an intensely strong scent that smells like lemon.

In early winter it produces large, oval fruit. The smooth grey skin is thin and inedible, and the soft aquamarine flesh is slightly spicy and very dry. The gentle orange seed is large and is in the centre of the fruit.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between filled with undergrowth.

Offering it in a bouquet is supposed to bring good luck.
It is possible to grow it from cuttings.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
