Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This short tree grows up to 3 meters (9.8 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 425 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a wide, curved trunk covered in very thick, ridged, brown bark, and inside, the soft wood is pine-coloured.
The numerous branches are very short and thin and are covered with small amounts of covered in fine hairs, huge, fan-like leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are found in dark yellow, green and copper varieties.
In late summer it forms small, gold seed pods.
The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.
Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with grassy ground between them.
It is almost impossible to grow from cuttings.
