Cyan Petal

Flower type: Biennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This average-sized flower grows up to 1.3 feet (41 cm) tall. Its cyan stem is thick and straight, and the tiny, yellow and grey leaves are dark brown on the underside and are perforated with irregular edges. A pair of leaves grow at the base of the stem.

Dozens of small flowers grow in bunches along the stem. The flowers are 7 cm (2.8 inches) wide, with solid orange petals and a yellow central disk. The flower head is shaped like a dish with 48 raised, round-tipped petals. They are sturdy.

It has a strong scent that smells like cinnamon, and it has very little pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions. It is pollinated by the wind.

It is suitable for making paper
It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
It is overwhelmingly resistant to fire damage.
