Crimson Moss

This pink-red moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps On rotten logs, On trees, and In marshes.
It is small, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps and they are exceptionally hardy, and is slightly rigid.
When mature, emerald cylindrical capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release dozens of spores.
