Bloodfruit Tree

This big fruit tree grows up to 35 feet (10.7 meters) tall and lives for up to 20 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 58 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a very thick, straight trunk covered in very thick, rough, dark gray bark, and inside, the very hard wood is silver.

The branches are short, rigid and upright and are covered with small amounts of giant, very thick leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are white and blood red.

In early spring, it produces handfuls of small, gold blossoms with 9 shield-shaped shaped petals. They are sturdy and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like a woman.

In late autumn it produces , long, straight fruit. The hairy bronze skin is peel-able and bland, and the crunchy pink flesh is salty and sour and very juicy. The blood red seed is large and sits at the top of the fruit.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with clear space between them.
