Copper Moss

This copper moss is commonly found growing in tiny clumps On trees.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps, and is slightly light; it burns easily in strong sunlight.
When mature, emerald cylindrical capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release millions of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
