Turquoise Vine

This average-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 38 feet (11.6 meters) and growing as high as 55 feet (16.8 meters).

It takes 12 months for the moss green stems to mature, by which point they have tangled themselves into thick mats with a diameter of 3 inches (8 cm) and are rough and prickly.

The fan-like, smooth leaves reach up to 1.3 feet (38 cm) in length. They are white on the sides and turquoise at the center, and have wavy edges.

During late spring, the bine produces several small gold flowers, and during the late summer, after flowering, it produces plenty of large seed pods.
