Emerald Flame Moss

This lime green moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas On trees, In marshes, and In moorlands.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps and they spread and grow quickly, and is very rigid; it takes a lot of damage when trodden on.
When mature, emerald flame-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release hundred of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
