Crimson Moss

This pink-red moss is commonly found growing in small clumps In marshes.
It is small, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is slightly frail; it struggles more than most during dry spells.
When mature, emerald flame-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release millions of spores.
