Crimson Moss

This red moss is commonly found growing in small clumps In moorlands, and In bogs.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps, and is extremely frail; it burns easily in strong sunlight.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release millions of spores.
