Brown Lightning Moss

This brown moss is commonly found blanketing tiny areas On rotten logs, and In bogs.
It is average-sized, growing up to 5 inches (13 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps and they are exceptionally hardy, and is slightly strong.
When mature, emerald oblong capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release dozens of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
