Greyflower Grass

Grass type: Biennial (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This short, moss green grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The very thin stalks grow in large clumps that are flimsy and they spread and grow quickly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, grey flower.

During the late summer, it produces a modest amount of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with a handful of tiny grains.

It grows well in the sun and full shade.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
It makes a distinctive sound when the wind blows through it.
