Blueberry

This small caudiciform grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. The needle-like stem is yellow-green, and is covered in large amounts of flexible deep blue spines. It has a straight, very thick, dark grey trunk atop a flat mess of cracked, exposed roots. The branches are thin and silver and are short, rigid and upright.

The wavy-edged, oblong leaves are olive at the bottom and pink with light grey dots at the top. They are resilient, and do not detach easily.

It is slow growing, taking 5 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with petals that are violet on the edges and washed-out purple at the center, grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of many petals in raised layers. It has an intense scent that smells like warm cookies.

The caudiciform's skin is rock-hard, the light grey flesh is leathery, and the vivid green sap is thin.
