Bluebell

This short caudiciform grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall. The needle-like stem is green, and is covered in large amounts of rigid lime spines. The stocky, bronze trunk can grow to as much as 7 feet (2.1 meters) in diameter. Its yellow-green branches trail down to the ground.

The smooth-edged, sickle shaped leaves are dark grey at the bottom and peach with lilac zig-zags at the top. They are frail, but take little effort to detach.

It is fast growing, taking 5 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with alternating petals of deep blue and indigo, with an amber central disk, grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of several petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight star. It has an overpowering scent that smells like soap.

The caudiciform's skin is thin, the cyan flesh is waxy, and the sky blue sap is thin.
