Crimson Moss

This pink-red moss is commonly found blanketing large areas In rainy mountain ranges.
It is large, growing up to 7 inches (18 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps, and is very light.
When mature, emerald spiral capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release hundred of spores; it can cause severe allergic reactions.
