Caramel

This short caudiciform grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. The very narrow, elongated stem is olive, and is covered in thick sheets of fine, caramel, hair-like spines. The wavy, brown trunk can grow to as much as 2 feet (61.0 cm) in diameter at the top. Its green branches are short, thin and wispy and start growing at the top the stem.

The small amounts of tattered-edged, spear shaped leaves are solid green or peach, with bronze patches. They are flexible, and easily come away when pulled.

It is quick growing, taking 4 months to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with solid florescent red petals decorated with turquoise dots and a brown central disk grow at the top, reappearing once every 8 years. The flower head is made up of 5 petals in raised layers. It has an intensely strong scent that smells like bleach.

The caudiciform's skin is extremely thick, the gentle purple flesh is smooth, and the turquoise sap is thin.
