Emerald Flame Moss

This moss green moss is commonly found growing in giant clumps On rotten logs, and In rainy mountain ranges.
It is big, growing up to 8 inches (20 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is very frail.
When mature, emerald flame-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release hundred of spores; it can cause severe allergic reactions.
