Orange Oasis

This average-sized flower grows up to 1.5 feet (46 cm) tall. Its moss green stem is thick, and the tiny, orange leaves are wide with wavy edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.

1 to 7 giant flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 3 cm (1.2 inches) wide, with each petal a slightly different shade of muted orange. The flower head is shaped like a sphere with 8 raised, narrow petals. They fall easily.

It has a delicate scent that smells like musk, and it has a modest amount of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is pollinated by insects , but is also visited by a small species of bird.
