Emerald Capsule Moss

This emerald moss is commonly found growing in small clumps On trees, and On rotten logs.
It is small, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps, and is slightly frail.
When mature, emerald circular capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release thousands of spores.
