Aquamarine

Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This short cactus grows up to 9 feet (2.7 meters) tall. It splits at the base to form 3 very thin stems. Each stem is aquamarine or hazel, and is covered in lots of flexible yellow spines.

It is fast growing, taking 2 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with pink petals that gradient shift to subtle orange on the outer edge. The central disk is peach, grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of dozens of petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight star. It has a weak scent that smells like fresh linen.

The cactus's skin is thin, the bold red flesh is rough, and the light brown sap is thin.

It is suitable for making strong rope
It out-competes most other plants for nutrients and light.
It can absorb up to 15 times its own weight in water.
