Crimson Spire Moss

This red moss is commonly found blanketing tiny areas In marshes, In rainforests, and In moorlands.
It is short, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps, and is very rigid; it dislikes being stepped on.
When mature, emerald cylindrical capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release dozens of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
